A two day hands-on workshop to build facilitation skills
- Working with diverse stakeholders: optimizing individual diversity, bridging disciplines, and respecting cultural backgrounds
- Decision-making techniques: consultative (gathering input), facilitative (building consensus) and delegative (providing input) methods.
- Managing difficult dynamics: facilitating volatile topics, managing difficult individuals, and handling interpersonal conflict.
- Visualization: using visual elements and visualization facilities as facilitation aids.
Workshop leader John Riordan received his B.A. in Public Policy from Washington and Lee University and his M.A. in Educational Management from Makerere University in Uganda. John has been committed to challenging people and organization to reach their full potential for many years - first as a leadership program founder and director in East Africa, and now as an organization and leadership development consultant based in Washington D.C.
